HOW TO FIND US...

Woodbridge Glamping is at the end of New Quay Lane off Melton Road in Melton. New Quay Lane is a tiny little street - blink and you miss it! It's about 30 meters after Old Maltings Approach when coming from Woodbridge, on your right. Drive to the end of the lane, bearing left by the post boxes, up to the railway crossing. There's a car park on the left - turn in, that's us.

GETTING HERE

By Train

Beautiful views of the River Deben as you pull into the historic station in the town. Close to all the lovely shops, we have to tempt you, we are just under two hours away from London by train. An hourly service links Woodbridge to London via Ipswich.

traveline.org.uk, greateranglia.co.uk or nationalrail.co.uk can help you plan your journey and enable you to buy advance tickets. Woodbridge station has a prepaid ticket collection machine. It is also possible to take bikes on many journeys.

Stansted Airport coach service

A 24-hour a day coach service runs between Ipswich and Stansted Airport airdirectipswich.com and Ipswich is a short distance from Woodbridge accessible by bus, taxi or a connecting train.

By Boat

You’ll be part of a thousand-year-old tradition if you arrive by boat (you’ll see the Church as you sail or motor in!) Tie up at the Tide Mill Quay FREE for 24hrs. The Tide Mill Yacht Harbour www.tidemillyachtharbour.co.uk has all the modern amenities you would expect from a modern yacht harbour.

By Bicycle

Woodbridge is on the Sustrans Route 1 National Cycleway and is a hub for many other cycle routes Sustrans.org.uk Local routes from the Tourist Information Centre. The Deben River Path is a mecca for Mountain Bike enthusiasts.

On Foot

Woodbridge is along a distance footpath known as The Sandlings Walk (55 miles, 89 Km) that runs to Southwold through the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty- Suffolk Coast & Heaths. Woodbridge offers superb accommodation for walkers following this route. There are also local walks from the town centre, guide books are available from tourist information www.suffolkcoastandheaths.org for more info.

Pop IP12 1AA into your sat-nav and this route will bring you into the town centre where you can park in one of the main shopping car parks (New Street). You can exit the car park on foot by various walkways but they will take you either out on to the Thoroughfare or connect you to the bottom of New Street, where a short walk up the hill brings you to the Market Hill. You can also park in Hamblin Road (IP12 1AA) and Deben Road (IP12 1AZ) which are also town centre locations. Have a look around this website, a Town Guide (available from many Tourist Information Centres and local outlets) or follow the brown roadside signs for particular areas of interest. Once you get here, just ask someone to help – we’re generally a friendly bunch.
